Bunnyranch

Bio :

The bunnyranch started in 2001, when 4 boys from Coimbra, Portugal, decided that they could play rock´n´roll together, they had a keyboard player, a stand up drummer that thought he could sing ,a bass and a guitar player, their first show was in 19 October of 2001 supporting Tav Falco, their names were Carlos (on the drums and vox) ,Pedro (on the bass), Filipe (on the keyboards), André( on the guitar), and they were into the blues ,rockabilly, soul, 60´s garage, pop ,psych, punk rock, pos punk, new wave . .

Their debut record was an E.P. , came out in 2003, the name was Too Flop To Boogie(Lux Records), they toured a lot in Portugal, and they did some gigs in Spain.

Their first L.P. came out in 2004 , Trying to Lose(Lux Records) , it was recorded by Joe Fossard, this record took them on a tour until the end of 2005, that included countries like Portugal,the main festivals, Spain, France, England, Holland where they played at the Eurosonic Festival.

In 2006 Filipe left the band and he was replaced by João Cardoso, they released a new record called Luna Dance(Transformadores), and in 2007 they did a East Coast tour in the U.S.A., in the end of the tour they stepped into the Hed studios in N.Y. City, to record 4 songs under the control of Mr. Ivan Julian, those songs became the first half of the 2008 record “Teach us Lord how to Wait” (Lux Records /Sony BMG) which was complete when they recorded the other half at the Serra Vista Studios, in Portugal with Mr. Boz Boorer , on this record you can find a version from the 1961 single “Sansão foi Enganado” that was recorded at the time by Zeca do Rock.

In 2009, again with Boz, they recorded their newest record called IF YOU MISSED THE LAST TRAIN (Artez), at the Serra Vista Studios .
