Bio:
Emerged from the hot afternoons of the year 2009 in Lamego, Before And After Science began their musical journey in the trio format consisting of José Silva (guitars/keyboards), Nuno Lobão (bass/guitar)
and Carlos Maia (samples/beats), in which minimal experimentalism and a few strokes of eletronica swiftly set the motto for reveries that would have become their first song.
After a hiatus period the band resurged in 2011, fine‐tuning their past musical formulas but setting path to new directions though keeping the the post‐rock format.
André Lobão and Manel Guimarães, grouping with José Silva (playing drums) and Nuno Lobão, took control of the two guitars on their first live presentations.
With the year 2012 came winds of change within the group, with Ricardo Baptista and Eduardo Baltazar embracing the roles of guitarrist and drummer, respectively, which
were vacan while the band was in the process of establishing in Oporto.
Reinvigorated with the fresh formation, the group set out to record their debut EP “Vital Signs Of A Fallen World” in July 2013 at the well known Sá Da Bandeira Studios,
which has just been unveiled and is being made available to the public.
